Tour Itinerary

Day 1 : Marrakech - High Atlas Mountains - Ouarzazate - Rose Valley - Boumalne Dades

In the morning your Marrakech to Casablanca desert tour will depart from your accommodation at 8/9 am to Boumalne dades valley, passing through High Atlas Mountains, Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, Ouarzazate (Hollywood of Africa) and Rose valley. The first stop along the road of 1001 Kasbah will be on the highest pass in Morocco (Tizi N'tichka pass 2260m) where you'll enjoy the scenery of Atlas Mountains with its berber villages, then continue to Ait Benhaddou village to visit the UNESCO world heritage Kasbah which is used by many filmmakers as a backdrop for their movies, such as the Mummy, Game of Thrones, Alexander, Gladiator,....
After lunch in a local restaurant we'll take our way towards Ouarzazate to discover the famous Atlas studios and Taourirt Kasbah, afterward we'll drive through Skoura palm groves heading to Rose valley where you'll have a stop to explore a local roses cooperative. Next we'll drive on the main road crossing Dades valley, with stops to enjoy the panoramic views of this charming valley and berber villages before we drop you to your hotel.

Day 2 : Boumalne Dades - Tinghir Gorges - Tinjdad - Erfoud - Merzouga

After breakfast we'll drive from Dades valley to Merzouga Erg Chebbi passing through Todra gorges, Tinjdad and Erfoud. The first stop will be in Todra Gorges that attracts adventurers, photographers and climbers from all over the world, there you'll have free time to explore the biggest canyon in Morocco. After lunch in a local restaurant we'll drive to Erfoud which is an oasis town in the Draa Tafilalet region and contains many Fossil studios and shops. Upon arrival to Merzouga we'll take you to ride camels who are waiting for you to take you on a fantastic desert adventure in the golden sand dunes, heading to your berber camp where you'll have a great chance to catch some lovely pictures of the sunset and starry sky. After a delicious dinner you'll get to enjoy local music and play drums next to the campfire before you go to sleep in your private tent.

Day 3 : 4WD tour around Merzouga - visit local Nomads

After watching the sunrise next to your berber camp you'll have breakfast then ride your camels and return to the meeting point in Merzouga (if you want we can start the 4WD tour directly from the camp). Today we'll take the road that was used for the Paris Dakar rally, discovering the Erg Chebbi Sahara desert and making stops at the most famous sahara spots. Our first stop will be in Tissardmine village where fossil quarries are still present in the region, after that we continue to visit the berber Nomads and spend time with them to find out about their secrets and manners. From there we'll take you to explore the old mines of M'fis, then go on to Khamlia village where you'll have a lunch break in a traditional restaurant, afterward you'll get to visit Gnaoua people and enjoy their unique music and African dance. Your 4WD tour around Merzouga ends after that in your hotel.

Day 4 : Merzouga - Ziz Valley - Middle Atlas Mountains - Fes

After breakfast your driver will pick you up from your accommodation then leave the sahara desert taking the main road towards Fes old Medina passing through Erfoud, Ziz valley, Al Hassan Eddakhil dam, Midelt, Azrou forest and Ifrane city. Our first stop will be in Ziz valley where you'll admire the panoramic view of the palm groves from above, from there we'll go on to Midelt passing through Tizi Ntelghamt pass, having stops to take pictures. After lunch break our trip will be continued to Azrou forest, home of Barbary apes and Ifrane city (the Moroccan Switzerland). In the late afternoon we'll drop you to your hotel or riad in Fes.

Day 5 : Fes city tour - Casablanca

In the morning your local guide will join you to your accommodation to take you to explore the imperial city of Fes that's classified by UNESCO as universal Heritage in 1981.
Your city tour starts at the beautiful Bab Boujloud Gate, then visit Bou Inania Medersa. As you enjoy your walking tour through the charming alleyways of this old city you'll admire En-Nejjarine Square, Souks and the Museum of Crafts and Wooden Arts. After lunch your guided tour will be continued to Es-Seffarine Square and to Chouara Tannery. At the end of your Fes city tour you'll meet your driver and leave Fes towards Casablanca where your 5 days desert tour ends.
